Shift : 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Pay : $24.00 (based on experience)

Location : Alpharetta, GA - Exit 12 off GA 400

Overview :

A Logistics Specialist oversees and executes logistical operations, ensuring accurate shipping

and receiving, inventory management, and a safe warehouse environment. The role includes

supervision of receiving areas, basic warehouse maintenance, and record-keeping of

inspections. The Logistics Specialist collaborates with various departments to address inventory

shortages, provides regular status reports, and sources reliable shipping solutions.

Job Duties :

• Oversee material-based value-added services to enhance customer satisfaction
• Facilitate accurate shipping and receiving of all materials, tools, and required items
• Manage material tracking processes for efficient inventory control
• Assign stations and coordinate delivery / pickups for optimal workflow
• Conduct regular cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory reporting to management

• Label inventory systematically with identifying information for easy retrieval
• Identify potential inventory shortages and liaise with relevant departments for resolution
• Coordinate the procurement of new inventory, aligning with budgetary considerations
• Ensure shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and accompanied by necessary
• paperwork
• Coordinate delivery sequences based on orders, optimizing vehicle weight balance
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and operating procedures in the warehouse
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment at all times
• Implement rigorous record-keeping for warehouse inspections and services on a weekly,
• monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Perform any other duties as assigned

General Skills :

• Knowledge of shipping channels, negotiation skills, and experience in sourcing
• expedited LTL and international shipping
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft products and other relevant software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Education / License & Experience :

• Must have familiarity with electrical systems and equipment
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Experience with GPS, RFID, or barcoding systems is a plus
