In a time of exciting transformation for our Company continuing the company’s path of change, our Engineering organization is hiring for an Embedded Software Engineer within our Farmington, Connecticut Lead Design Center (LDC). In this role, you will be involved in the design, development, test, and release of software products worldwide. Our goal is to provide reliable, secure, elevator functionality that provides value to our internal and external customers. Initially, this role will focus on the authentication of service access to our elevator components, including DSP and SIL rated components.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsibility for the design, development, test and maintenance of software used to authenticate access to our embedded elevator components
• Work individually and across a matrixed team environment
• Over time, responsibilities will evolve to include other real-time, custom hardware-centric, embedded software solutions for our Controllers

THE PERSON

We are looking for a strong collaborator and self-motivator with experience across varying architecture and embedded platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS or BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field
• Proven experience implementing and debugging on embedded platforms including less common ones such a DSP
• Solid understanding of time critical software applications
• Solid understanding of abstract concepts, object programming, and software architectures
• Working experience designing and developing real time embedded applications using C or C
• Working experience testing and debugging in embedded platform environments
• Working experience with software debugging and testing tools, including use of in circuit emulator, remote debugging, scopes, serial line analyzer and/or CANalyzer
• Ability to work with other engineering centers worldwide for global component/product development and integration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in a fast-paced environment in a timely manner
• Working knowledge of printed circuit boards and schematics
• Knowledge of Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Familiarity with .Net Visual Studio and C#
• Basic understanding of PKI infrastructure
• Proven experience and understanding of crypto architecture and implementations
