Overview

Axient is seeking a Software Architect to support our customer in Tullahoma, TN.

Responsibilities

 This person may provide advice and assistance in software, software development process improvement, applications, networks, and emerging technology. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Recommend strategies for incorporating Government and commercially available software technologies as appropriate in modernization efforts.
• Prepare documentation as appropriate to describe IT approaches, key assumptions, and results of investigative analysis.
• Provide guidance and leadership, including identifying opportunities for improvement of software processes and policies.
• Define and promote best practices for integrating chosen technological solutions while complying with legal requirements.
• Conduct reviews of technical evaluations and provide relevant feedback
• Research and identify new technologies that can be utilized for application requirements.
• Work alongside U.S. Government and industry contractor personnel to design and develop requirements, specifications, and test plans for instrumentation, data, and control systems (ID&C) for enhanced capability or modernization of existing capability.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
• 5 years of IT-related work experience.
• Experienced in software lifecycle development.
• Experienced in Agile development techniques a plus.
• Experience with a wide range of software programming languages and development tools a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate through both oral and written communication between multiple stakeholders, both government and contractor.
• Ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
• Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Proficiency with SharePoint navigation.
