Overview

We are seeking a Software Developer and Operator to support configuration management needs and the development, maintenance, and use of a configuration management tool. This employee would use the configuration management tool to support integration efforts at customer sites and help guide development and maintenance of the application. This employee would visit sites to track changes to the mission equipment and support integration and upgrade projects. This position is located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs.

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Capturing configuration changes and updating the information within the management software.
• Continue develop of the software using Visual Basic programming language.
• Establish/create a facility baseline, identify and update facility drawings within the facility management program to reflect new or upgraded hardware installations.
• Assist in auditing ongoing projects, future projects, and installs in Denver and Colorado Springs locations on a quarterly basis.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel to monitor power needs and physical requirements of new hardware installations within the facilities.
• Work with the Configuration Management/Quality Assurance (CM/QA) engineer to assist in the monitoring and auditing of all ongoing projects and installs to ensure CM and QA measures are met.
• Use Solid Edge 3-D modeling software to create and update models of facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

The candidate must be knowledgeable with application development, preferably with the .NET framework

• Must have experience with 3D modelling
• Must be able to support a broad array of engineering tasks.
• Experience with Air Force technical orders, technical drawings and configuration management is a plus.
• Must have an active and transferrable DoD top secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance
