Axia Women's Health is Hiring an Ultrasound Tech Near Mount Laurel, NJ

We have an opening for a Per Diem Ultrasound Technician at our OB/GYN practice in Mount Laurel, NJ

Hours: 8hr shift as needed 8am-4pm or 12pm-8pm shift .

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.
  • Reviews and verifies physician’s orders.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, explains procedures, measures and positions patients for each anatomical view.
  • Performs high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with approved techniques and protocols, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.
  • Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
  • Evaluates images for quality and interprets images captured.
  • Maintains patient records; adds medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
  • Maintains ultrasound equipment and sterilizes room between ultrasound patients.
  • Utilizes PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.
  • Stocks and replenishes supplies as required.
  • Maintains certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
  • Trains other Ultrasound Technicians as needed.
  • Performing other associated tasks as assigned.

Qualities & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately document scan findings.
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

  • Formal education and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.
  • Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in Ob/Gyn required.
  • At least 2 years’ recent experience performing obstetrical scanning required.
  • Current FMF or NTQR certification in NT (Nuchal Translucency) preferable.
  • Additional ARDMS certification in Breast (BR) and Abdomen (AB) desirable.
  • Additional ARDMS certification and experience in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable.
  • CPR certification a plus.
  • eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT coding a plus.
