We are currently recruiting a Practice Coordinator for our Athena OB/GYN practice in Horsham, PA.

The Practice Coordinator reports to The Sr. Practice Administrator and is responsible for the overall daily management and coordination of clinical and administrative business operations for the care center.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations of non-clinical staff.
  • Escalates concerns between clinical and non-clinical staff to Regional Manager and physicians.
  • Ensures all PSR tasks are delegated and completed in a timely manner.
    • Jellybeans, ORO, OB folders, annual backlog calls, paperwork, eEligibility processing, addressing patient balances, etc.
  • Serves as the point person for provider schedule changes, ensures coverage, delegates plan for patient follow up and communicates plan.
  • Coordinates coverage for staff call outs in collaboration with the clinical lead and Sr. Practice Administrator.
  • Escalates facility/equipment maintenance concerns to Sr. Practice Administrator.
  • Manages the day-to-day oversight of CES functions and escalates issues that cannot be resolved onsite to the Sr. Practice Administrator.
  • Responsible for training new staff in day-to-day functions and job responsibilities.
  • Supports rollout of operational processes and initiatives and ensures follow through and adherence to process standardization.
  • Escalates gaps in operational workflow to Sr. Practice Administrator.
  • Maintains patient education materials.
  • Completes administrative tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of both clinical/non-clinical center staff in collaboration with the Sr. Practice Administrator.

Qualities & Skills:

  • Proven ability to work with physicians.
  • Strong knowledge of the electronic billing process and medical insurance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel across various facilities as well as external entities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited college in business, healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years’ recent experience in healthcare management preferred.
  • Experience managing a high-volume practice, OB/GYN or Fertility specialty, preferred.
  • Experience managing staff.
  • Knowledge of the electronic billing process and medical insurance preferred.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) beneficial.
