Job Title: Process Engineer Consultant II Location: Bothell, WA | Pay: 75/Hr Job Description: We are seeking an engineer with a strong passion for technology and personal growth to lead the "Design for Manufacturability & Assembly" aspect of product requirements and designs. This role involves designing, developing, and launching new Ultrasound Systems production lines as part of a dynamic concurrent engineering team.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct root cause analysis of design, process, and quality issues during prototype builds
Evaluate designs for ease of manufacturing & assembly, providing feedback for improvement
Execute production readiness builds and validate processes/documents for release
Design and implement production test fixtures, assembly jigs, and tools
Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean methodologies
Assist in material dispositioning and update process documentation
Provide training and technical support to enhance the skills of engineers, technicians, and operators
Perform other duties as required to support business needs
Requirements :
BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with SolidWorks CAD design (preferred) and ability to interpret engineering drawings
Work experience in an industrial environment (preferred)
Knowledge of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering tools and Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
Excellent organizational and time management skills; flexibility with priorities
Experience with FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing in a Lean production environment (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Up to 10% global travel availability for international projects
Additional Requirements :
Experience working with suppliers to resolve technical issues (preferred)
Knowledge of Supply Chain/Manufacturing principles and Design for Excellence (DFx) inputs
Familiarity with plastics, sheet metal design & processing methods (preferred)
Understanding of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) & Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
