Job Overview:

We are looking for low voltage engineers that solve both simple and complex everyday problems. The Low Voltage System Engineer's primary responsibility is to partner with the Axcex Media’s sales teams to assist them in providing their customers or projects accurate system takeoffs, estimates, designs, and engineering of technical systems and system integrations. This role requires the Low Voltage Systems Engineer to have the ability to review and understand detailed project specifications, architectural and engineered drawings, information provided by the sales team and/or the customer for their respective project.

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Strong understanding of AutoCAD design as applies to building drawings and low voltage communications, technology, and network design.
• Stays current with the latest low voltage systems technology as it pertains to the industry.
• Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow. Requires thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn internal company systems and applications.
• Must have a proactive communication style ensuring timely status updates to Engineering Manager, Sales Team, and customer (if applicable).
• Strong analytical skills are required. Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach. Solid ability to graphically depict solutions in a compelling manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail oriented and able to work with limited supervision and direction.
• Supports Sales teams with proposal generation assistance of equipment design, drawings, and other necessary technical documentation.
• Supports the pre-sale transition to post-sales projects with Project Management team and assists as needed with design integrity throughout the project.

Job Requirements:

• Preferred 2-5 years of AutoCAD Design Experience. FireCAD experience is desired.
• NICET Level 2 Certification in Fire Alarm System desired; or must achieve this certification within 2 years of employment.
• Industry experience working with Low Voltage systems is preferred.
• Experience and competency with Windows and Office 365 programs, as well as quote tools.
