Houston currently has an opening for a
Warehouse Operator 3rd Shift YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES - Packaging, filling,labeling, and storage of drummed chemicals or chemical blends.
- Handling and storage offactory packaged products in bags, drums, pails, super sacks, etc.
- Loading or unloading ofbulk, drummed, or bagged material from railcars and trucks.
- Operates a forklift.
- Minor maintenance on trucksor plant equipment.
- Secure dual sign off beforetransferring any product form one vessel to another.
- Properly use materials suchas labels, placards, stenciling and paint.
- Properly cares for and usesall equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, hoses,etc.
- Participate in inventoryrequirements, counting reconciliation, and recounts as required.
- Keep work areas clean andorderly which includes but is not limited to picking up trash, sweeping,mopping, painting, emptying trash, etc.
- Follow all operatingprocedures, work instructions and is familiar with the quality systemmanual.
- Reports allnon-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
- Attends and activelyparticipates in all safety and quality meetings as required.
- Performs all duties in asafe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
- Completes all training asrequired in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
- Perform and complete othertasks as assigned by manager.
YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: - High School Diploma/GEDRequired.
- 2 years of experience inwarehouse/industrial environment.
- While performing the dutiesof this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingersto handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, or smell. Theemployee is frequently required to walk and stand. The employee isoccasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, orcrawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to wear proper PPEsuch as safety goggles/glasses, Tyvek suits, steel toed boot, etc.
- Must be able to give andreceive verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Comfortable with the use ofa Forklift, and general warehouse duties.
- Employment is contingentupon completion of background investigation, pre-employment fit for duty,E-Verify check, and pre-employment drug screening.
Education and Experience:
