Outside Cable Plant technician:
Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 Years of experience in the DoD Outside Cable Plant arena.
Start Date: Immediate.
Position: Full-Time.
Security Clearance: Active Secret preferred or the ability to obtain.

Location: NAS Whidbey Island State of Washington.

Client is seeking an Outside Cable Plant technician (OSP) to be located on-site at NAS Whidbey Island Washington. This is for a 3-year contract with strong possibility of additional 5 years.
The skillsets required are as follows:

Outside Plant (OSP) Technician (Key Personnel--Resume Submission and Approval Required)

Individual shall possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in operation and maintenance of tactical, or commercial, telecommunications equipment. Specific experience is required in the following areas:

· Individual shall possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in installation and maintenance using telecommunications industry standards-based cabling distribution systems and must be familiar with and be able to reference current TIA/EIA standards. Specific experience is required in the following areas:

· Employee must be familiar with basic Project Management Skills and procedures

· Employee is expected to have basic design skills of Cable/Fiber/Wire Installations and the ability to splice Fiber and Copper wire installations.

· Employee is expected to have basic Voice/Data Network Infrastructure Design skills

• IAT Level II Certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M or the ability to obtain is a plus but not required

· Employee must obtain Personal Computer (PC) operations at the Operator level

· Employee must be able to test and perform T-1/PRI and VoIP Installations

· Demonstrated ability to sustain a high performance while handling multiple priorities under pressure.

· Must be able to work well with other team members in a collaborative manner, fostering learning and knowledge sharing to complete projects and equally be able to work solo with limited supervision and project oversight.

· Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking skills and attention to detail

· Excellent interpersonal, communications and documentation skills

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
