AWG - American Welding and Gas is Hiring a Cylinder Control Specialist Near Beaumont, TX

Coastal Welding Supply / a American Welding Co. has an opening for Position Title: Cylinder Control Specialist

Responsible for cylinder control management, rental cylinder control management, inter-branch cylinder movement tracking, gas inventory tracking, and electronic storage of stock point inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze, track, validate, and reconcile company cylinder assets shipped to customers and inter-company
  • Compare physical audits performed in the field versus computer balances, providing data as needed to support Loss of Use (LOU) invoicing of missing assets
  • Recommend and/or make adjustments to correct errors made to balances through order entry
  • Become proficient with TIMS cylinder reports through Diver, Sequel, and/or Cubes reporting
  • Become proficient with TIMS ACM cylinder tracking and processes
  • Create and analyze reports to catch and correct negative balances on customer accounts
  • Ensure accurate cylinder and lease records by account
  • Update renewal charges
  • Implement new lease programs
  • Create and implement cylinder audits
  • Verify customer balances
  • Perform maintenance on rental rates
  • Track movement of no-rent customers to rental charges and verify bulk tank rental monthly
  • Develop and implement truck reconciliation program
  • Control the inventory of branch cylinders (including movement of surplus)
  • Manage the branch to plant reconciliation of empty shipments
  • Develop electronic storage of stock point inventory tracking
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Knowledge of welding (propane/cryogenic dep. on location) products and equipment
  • Prior experience working with inventory control preferred
  • 6 months of Knowledge of retail welding, propane or cryogenic products and equipment helpful but not required
  • Must have good time-management skills and ability to work independently.
