Award Construction is now seeking a working site foreman to help grow its mechanical division. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow quickly into a superintendent role!

Responsibilities

• Layout, supervise, and work alongside a small team of operators and laborers
• Ensure project materials and workmanship comply with project plans and specifications
• Work with project manager to develop and update the project schedule
• Coordinate crew, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project schedule
• Communicate regularly and effectively with project inspectors, owners’ representatives and engineers
• Lead weekly safety meetings and ensure all work is performed safely
• Anticipate and resolve project issues and hurdles
• Generate daily project reports
• Be cognizant of and document changes in the work

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in public works construction
• Experience leading a crew e.g. pipe layer, site foreman
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Proven history of being able to set grade and carry offsets
• Must pass drug test (this is a safety sensitive position with a substantial risk of death, and we work on federal contracts, therefore cannabis is included)
