JOB DESCRIPTION

AW Metering Services is looking for an enthusiastic, well organized, tech savvy motivated team player to join us in our meter and electronics equipment department. This includes duties focused around programming of our electronic equipment, mapping of electronic equipment programmed and light shipping and receiving duties. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to grow into other office positions within our business.

TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Clean background check & Record of working safely.
• Display a proven track record in being reliable.
• Ability to follow direction, concentrate, and pay attention to details.
• Ability to self-organize and function under minimal supervision.
• Ability to use software for programing equipment.
• Ability to prepare equipment for shipment.
• Ability to load, unload, and organize equipment coming into our warehouse.
• Ability to communicate effectively with our customers, team members, suppliers and couriers.
• Technical college or equivalent in a related field would be an asset.
• Prior experience with plumbing equipment or electronic / cellular communication equipment would be an asset.
• Prior experience programming simple electronic equipment would be an asset.
• Lifting up to 50lbs, working at heights, sitting and programming for a large majority of your shift.

SYSTEM TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately program meter reading equipment and pairing it to water meters for outbound shipments (will train on this).
• Maintain an organized warehouse of parts and equipment.
• Plan, organize and coordinate your day to ensure the field technicians and customers receive their orders timely.
• Pick, Program, Pack and Ship inventory items according to the sales order.
• Communicate directly with clients and fulfill their orders. Update them as to the status of their order.
• Follow OSHA standards in performing work.
• Document work performed in our spreadsheets and through our accounting system.
• Follow all company policies and directions given by the Director of Operations.
• Maintain a polite, well-groomed, and professional attitude.

SYSTEM TECHNICIAN PAY & BENEFITS

• Pay ranging between $48K to 56K depending on Experience.
• 8 am to 5pm start time, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), paid bi‐weekly.
• Ability to advance in the company.
• Training and Tools Provided.
• First 90 days is probationary,
• Paid time off – 5 days per after year one, 10 days per year afterwards.
