Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team at our Warner Robins, GA location. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our information systems through the development and maintenance of essential cybersecurity documentation. The ISSO will collaborate closely with the Government to create a comprehensive Security Authorization Package, facilitating the attainment of Authority to Operate (ATO) for our systems. This is a 100% onsite position with no remote work options available.

Job Description:

• Oversee and execute daily scanning and artifact creation processes to maintain continuous monitoring of information system security measures.
• Collaborate with Government partners to develop, update, and maintain a robust Cybersecurity Plan in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive Security Assessment Report (SAR), accurately assessing the state of security controls and identifying vulnerabilities.
• Develop a detailed Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) in collaboration with the Government, outlining specific steps to address identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation of security enhancement initiatives outlined in the POA&M.
• Integrate the Risk Assessment Report into the Security Authorization Package to provide the Authorizing Official (AO) with a comprehensive understanding of the system's security posture.
• Prepare and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders, effectively communicating cybersecurity status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in security measures.
• Participate in audits and assessments as required by regulatory bodies and internal compliance standards.
• Provide expert guidance to enhance cybersecurity policies, procedures, and practices.

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI Clearance Mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are strongly desired.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security assessment, risk management, and documentation.
• Thorough understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) and their practical application.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining cybersecurity documentation, including Cybersecurity Plans, Security Assessment Reports, and Plan of Actions and Milestones.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and mitigating security risks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with government security protocols and prior experience working with government agencies is a plus.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Organizational skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
