General Description:

To ensure the efficient operation of the Student Services Office so that the department can make its maximum contributions to District-wide special education and MEDICAD programs on a 12 month basis.

Qualifications:

Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.

Must possess a minimum of three years experience as a secretary or other similar position.

Must have knowledge of basic office procedures and common office equipment and machines.

Must possess proficient word processing skills, phone skills, and knowledge of database and spreadsheet programs.

Prefer bilingual/biliterate in both Spanish and English.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains and updates all MEDICAD files, forms, and databases, meeting all prescribed quality and time requirements.

Coordinates/provides all MEDICAD required training including documentation of that training.

Supports the other special services secretaries with all special education office services to include but not limited to preparing/updating files, entering data on special education related databases, answering phones, receiving/sending special education records, etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Reports to: ESS Director

Calendar:

12 Month, 40 hrs/week
