**Job Summary:**

We are seeking someone to support the Executive Housekeeping Manager in overseeing and directing the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping department. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will ensure that cleanliness and order are maintained in all areas of the establishment.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in planning, organizing, and directing team members to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and address maintenance issues.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens.
• Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping procedures and policies.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.

Note that this is not an inclusive list and team members are at times asked to assist with other tasks to best serve the business. Other tasks may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager or other managers.

**Job Requirements**

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety practices.

Skills & Abilities:

• Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Ability to work under pressure, be calm, organized, self-motivated, and work well with others.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English in order to follow directions, and procedures, and communicate with the team (using a translator app if necessary).
• Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lead a team in a proactive and positive manner.

**Working Conditions**

• Cleaning equipment and supplies
• Laundry equipment and supplies
• Computer with Microsoft and Google Suites

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach and handle. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Requires manual dexterity sufficient to handle equipment and utensils.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing and sometimes stressful work environment.

Work Environment:

• While primarily an indoor job, one must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions.
• Will work primarily in guest rooms as well as public areas and laundry room/housekeeping office.
• Will work with cleaning chemicals. May be exposed to contaminants and diseases or infections.

• $50,000 annual salary
