Description

The candidate’s role will include working with their Director on the pre-planning, coordination (labor and equipment acquisition) and execution of events taking place in their venue. Technical skills are important, but just as, if not more important, are customer service skills, energy, positive attitude, and drive. The candidate needs to be able to spend at least 8 hours a day on their feet, lift at least 25lbs above waist height, be able to travel to other venues, and have some MAC and Windows experience. Availability required Monday-Sunday, days and nights.

Responsibilities:

• Speaking with customers and hoteliers in a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic manner.
• Lead the planning and implementation of show, in alignment with hotel Director
• Assemble and coordinate show labor
• Arrange for show equipment (transfers, re-rents, etc.)
• Manage costs to ensure show profitability
• Seek out ways to improve the operation to include service and financial results.
• Maintaining and protecting all assets at all times from damage, misuse or possible theft.
• Sets examples for AV Techs in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and management skills, and work habits.
• Build upon the AVmedia Culture, Core Values and Core Purpose by being a role model at all times. Forge excellent relationships with Family members and key customers whenever possible.
• If this position requires driving a company vehicle, you must be in possession of a valid driver’s license. A clean driving record over the past three (3) years is required.

Requirements

Skills:

• Qualification in show coordination or equivalent
• Direct work experience in event/show management capacity
• Technical expertise in audio, video and lighting areas
• Knowledge of digital audio mixers, intelligent lighting, networking, advanced switching, HD projection a plus
• Knowledge of external resources for equipment and labor is a plus
• Proven experience in people management
