Job Description

To locate gas/electric facilities and perform on-site inspections of contractor’s practices during large construction projects insuring that Avista Corp standards, state, and federal regulations are met during these projects answering any questions and providing suggestions to the contractor. To inspect natural gas facilities built by contract crews. To maintain the integrity of Avista Corp gas and electric facilities during these construction projects securing dig-in areas, arranging for repairs, and ensuring public safety during an emergency situation. Responsible for fielding certain Avista Corp gas facilities in compliance with specific DOT regulatory reporting requirements.

This classification is subject to the 25 mile and/or 30-minute residency requirement until such time as negotiated otherwise by the parties.

Requirements
Requires minimum of two years gas construction experience. Requires knowledge of Company Gas Safety Standards and Procedures as well as DOT pipeline regulatory requirements, valid driver's license. Requires communication skills to provide information. Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.
