A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking a Director - US Partner Relationships. The successful candidate will utilize deep content knowledge and partnership experience to influence and maintain our relationships with publishing partners by impacting and making business decisions, leading a team and undertaking creative solution finding. The ideal candidate has 10 years of experience in related fields (entertainment, media or publishing). The company offers a great work environment!

Director - US Partner Relationships Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $85/hr
  • Worksite: Leading podcast and audiobook company (Newark, NJ 07102 - Hybrid)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 8 Month Assignment

Director - US Partner Relationships Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of all key providers content releases, ensuring that we are driving sales and listening of these top priorities through creative marketing, strong internal collaboration, and solid external partnership management.
  • Oversee partnerships with large publishing partners ensuring marketing initiatives gain support both internally and externally to feature content in marketing campaigns across our company and author platforms.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on all high-touch partnerships, both internally and externally and identifying opportunities for further growth for all parties.
  • Attend all quarterly business reviews and partner updates to ensure we are achieving goals and growth as a result of these partnerships.
  • Work closely with the Publisher Partnerships team to align on goals for partnerships, find efficiencies, and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure there is cohesion across the organization whefn it comes to partner/publisher relationships globally as necessary and applicable.
  • Manage a Manager and oversee management of an Associate Manager and Specialist.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Head of Partner Relationships, North America to facilitate the team’s smooth operation.
    • Lead the content partnership with The Teaching Company, working closely with Editorial on the creation, distribution, and promotion of our company's Original Great Courses.
    • Serve as the Program Director for our Podcast Development Program.
      • Establish and maintain the business and operational plan for the Development Program from the ground up—from outreach for submissions, landing page development to the selection of grant recipients.
      • Manage budget and operations and outputs of the Program.
      • Work cross-functionally with Programming, Studios, Editorial, Merchandising, Content and Creator Marketing and more to ensure success of the program and the content.
      • Recruit storytellers to produce premium podcast content, from undiscovered to emerging talent in line with our content strategy.

Director - US Partner Relationships Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in related fields (entertainment, media or publishing).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience from networks, studios, publishers or tech giants/startups preferred.
  • Expertise in client management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and a strong decision-maker.
  • Comfortable with high-volume throughput.
  • Thrive in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Highly collaborative with teams and individuals across the institution.
  • Talent management.
  • Both data-driven and creative.
  • Marketing or PR experience.
  • A love of audio entertainment.
