General SummaryThe Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
Prepares raw material purchase orders with suppliers.
Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in SAP.
Coordinates with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
Communicates and coordinates with suppliers, Avient Central Planning, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations.
May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.
Other project/duties as assigned.
