Job Summary

The Senior Regulatory Specialist will

·Support US and Canada regional customer inquiries related to Avient products meeting various global regulations.

·Proactively identify and recommend steps to mitigate impact of impending regulatory changes on Avient’s portfolio.

·Work with suppliers to maintain all required raw material regulatory information.

·Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Product Regulatory information systems (including SAP EH&S modules on Product Safety, HazComm, Dangerous Goods, etc).

Ideal candidate is located in Northeast Ohio. May consider remote based on qualifications. 

Essential Functions

·Understand, apply and stay current with all applicable regulations related to Hazard Communication (North America, Europe, Asia, etc.), such as GHS, EU CLP and other regional regulations

·Work with North American regulatory agencies such as EPA, FDA, FIFRA to assist in product registrations, and submissions.

·Maintain all relevant product information within the SAP EH&S Module and other PS systems provide data for various reports.

·Provide timely responses to customer inquiries in the US and Canadian regions

·Obtain and maintain compliance information on various raw materials to support customer requests related to REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Prop 65 etc.

·Perform on-site audits of North American manufacturing facilities to ascertain compliance with standards such as RCMS, and GMP.

·Work with the technology team to assist in developing and maintaining Product Stewardship/Regulatory standards for new product development.

·Work with manufacturing plants to provide guidance on best practices to maintain regulatory compliance and provide training to end-users.

·Create documentation of internal Product stewardship processes and procedures.

·Act as backup for the EH&S PS Managers supporting specialties such as FDM/TPC.

·Daily interaction with US and Canada manufacturing sites and technology team to support time sensitive raw material creation activities.

·Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.
