Position Overview:

The Junior Front End Developer (JRFED) at AMG will act as an integral part of bringing digital campaign work to life. This person will be responsible for coding digital campaign creative for shopper marketing campaign. This person will also be looked to as a resource for best practices and innovation in the digital design and front-end development space. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize ever-changing work is a must.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Manage development of front-end code build out for digital initiatives, including websites and emails for client and internal agency work 
• Partner with the UI/UX Designer to ensure that all digital content offers a streamlined customer experience
• Leverage strong cross-functional communication with the team to assist in prioritization, troubleshooting, ideation and more 
• Work closely with Account teams, Creative Studio other Development Resources and to ensure that campaign requirements are clear and are delivered against 
• Lead in conducting pre-launch site QC checks from a front-end Development standpoint 
• Work closely with developers to ensure ideas / template changes can be brought to life
• Act as the owner of digital program templates, ensuring that implementation is executed accurately and working with the UI/UX Designer to roll out enhancements 

Develop and Recommend positive changes:

• Develop a deep understanding of client goals and objectives and provide strategic design recommendations to deliver against said goals 
• Manage Development of front-end code build outs for sites 
• Understand client provided brand and digital compliance guidelines, defining how best to execute within said guidelines 
• Act as the subject matter expert for all things front-end coding, bringing forth recommendations on new strategies / best practices / test opportunities
• Participate in the front-end coding internal to-market process, identifying areas of opportunity / optimization where appropriate

Qualifications:

• Expertise or certification in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe XD, Photoshop and /or Illustrator
• Strong proficiency in digital design and HTML5 / CSS 
•  Comfort in working with JavaScript and JQuery 
• "Mobile first" design mentality 
• Solid understanding of web and mobile standards, including responsive design and UX 
• Thoughtful, team-oriented, and unwilling to accept the status quo 
• A clear, direct communicator who builds strong and effective relationships quickly 
• Strong communication skills 
• Proficient understanding of versioning tools (GIT, SVN, etc) 
• General Understanding of how our digital products interact with our servers and databases 
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot code effectively working with back-end developer for solutions to any bugs
