Overview:

Avid Healthcare Services is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work as a Health Assistant with the School District. You will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and supportive school environment

Position:

Requirements may include:

• Current LVN License
• California School Nurse Credential (CSN)
• Valid Driver's License

• Pass Background Check
• Current Neg. PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (must be hands on course. Online cards WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED)
• Current First Aid Certification
One year of experience working as a School Nurse or in a similar setting

Duties include:

• Perform Medical procedures according to established guidelines including tracheostomy care, suctioning orally or via tracheostomy, Oxygen monitoring catheterization, colostomy /ileostomy care, gastrostomy feeding
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed

• Assist with physical needs per doctor orders and EGUSD care plan
• Assist students to increase self-esteem by providing examples, emotional support and friendly professional attitude
• Oversee assigned students during playground, activities and accompany students on a school bus as assigned for health care needs
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
