Aviation Consulting Experts, Inc - ACES is Hiring an Electrical Fabrication Tech w/ Solder Cert Near Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of Production Management, the Electrical Fabrication Technician is responsible for fabricating electrical harnesses and assemblies, as well as installing wiring for aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with Design Engineering instructions.

MUST HAVE SOLDER CERT

  • Fabricates wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies with single or multiple breakout points and termination points, adhering to all applicable regulations and instructions, including FAR regulations, Client process and material specifications.
  • Installs wiring into interior monuments such as lavatories, galleys, and class dividers for aircraft installation.
  • Operates Laser wire marker and printers to mark electrical wiring, wiring harnesses, and electrical assemblies.
  • Certified IPC-A-610 for detailed soldering operations.
  • Utilizes precision tools, power supplies, and test equipment to measure and perform operational testing of electrical harnesses and assemblies.
  • Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, test plans, and work instructions.
  • Works with energized AC and DC circuits according to safety requirements.
  • Maintains traceability of all materials used during manufacturing and completes paperwork to ensure compliance with inspection and FAA requirements.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting to management for repairs.
  • Collaborates with co-workers, engineering, and management in problem-solving and implementing best practices in operations.
  • Cross-trains and assists in other aspects of the production process.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in job turnovers.
  • Updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and continuous self-improvement.
  • Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Complies with lean manufacturing principles and works with leads and supervisors to implement best practices in the manufacturing process.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to Client safety procedures and regulations.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum/basic skills and qualifications an individual qualified for this position should possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship is an asset.
  • Understanding of wiring and electrical theory.
  • Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and work instructions.
  • Experience in Aircraft Avionics, Avionics fabrication, or electrical fabrication preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when needed to support delivery.
  • High level of manual dexterity and detail orientation.
  • Willingness to cross-train and assist other teams.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to Client safety procedures and regulations.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the Candidate may be regularly exposed to vibration. The Candidate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the Candidate is regularly required to stand. The Candidate is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The Candidate is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The Candidate must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
