Communications Associate - Part-time

Avfuel Corporation has a unique opportunity for a communications associate to put their writing and creative skills to use for a dynamic, in-house marketing team.

Avfuel, a privately-held, industry-leading aviation company located in Ann Arbor, seeks an imaginative, resourceful writer who has competent-level design skills and can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position will provide additional writing support for a variety of internal and external projects.

Regular content mediums may include advertisement writing, executive biographies, press releases, e-newsletters, print newsletters, website content, internal employee publications, instructional manuals and scripts, marketing and signage materials, and company documents like proposals, business plans and correspondences.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure written content reflects the proper tone, style and branding message
• Participate in the strategic development and execution of content marketing initiatives that drive traffic, engagement, action or education
• Create and publish engaging content
• Work with internal and external customers to capture necessary facts and information
• Schedule content and monitor engagement of company social media accounts
• Articulate content strategy to internal stakeholders for campaign execution
• Assist with ongoing content calendar and repository

Requirements:

• Advanced writing and copy-editing skills with exceptional grammar and spelling
• Knowledge of AP style requirements
• Experience with writing for businesses/organizations

• Ability to complete projects within defined deadlines

• Strategic thinker and problem solver
• Able to grasp complex concepts and make them understandable
• Able to think creatively with experience in devising content that engages, informs and motivates audiences
• High comfort level with a fast-paced work environment and ability to adapt to changes
• Superior organizational skills; the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects is essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with SEO strategies and keyword placement preferred

• Professional demeanor and communication
• Willingness to collaborate and contribute in meetings/discussions
• Some experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is helpful
• Remote work is possible depending on the candidate
