As part of the Research and Development function, the global Cloud DevOps team combines software development and cloud operations to provide continuous integration and delivery of cloud-enabled products and solutions. Responsible for deployment and continuous monitoring to ensure various cloud-specific customer requirements/SLAs are met. As a Cloud Software Developer in Test, you will utilize your experience to continually improve the quality and security posture of AVEVA’s Cloud solutions, as well as lead and implement continuous improvements to the operations following proper Root Cause Analysis. Working closely with your development and portfolio colleagues, together you will bring new solutions to the cloud following a standard framework to ensure they are operationally secure with unnegotiable quality. The global, 24x7 nature of the team means there may be a requirement for occasional work outside of the standard day and to be on call. In this role you will: Define, design, and complete basic to moderately complex test cases and scenarios. Define test automation for solutions under test. Create, maintain, and execute test automation code. Create, execute, and analyze results for load and performance test suites. Create test programs and utilities. Work with the global Cloud DevOps teams and provide subject matter expertise in quality measures and contribute to operational stability, security, cost management and reporting requirements for our cloud solutions. Continually develop and improve DevOps processes, adding value through optimization, automation, and effective reporting. Proactively review and manage incidents and incident reports for preventative measures. Lead Root Cause Analysis sessions and own the improvement action items. Ensure on-going compliance with practices and policies. Qualifications: You have developed automated test frameworks from scratch using C# or Java (web testing does not qualify). Are proficient in test automation and can provide training to CDO Engineers in automated testing skills. Are comfortable with Software Development Engineers and can pair to perform software coding and to resolve identified problems. Create and prepare test designs with proper test coverage for future phases or sprints. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement at the conclusion of each sprint. Comply with AVEVA development standards and technical engineering processes. You have conducted formal Root Causes Analysis process to identify the reasons and preventative actions for any deviations from what is expected (Bug debugging and fixing does not qualify). You are familiar with Azure or AWS cloud platforms and services provided by these platforms and ideally have tested SaaS products hosted in these platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree. Prior cloud infrastructure and testing experience. Experience successfully implementing software applications in an organization. Experience developing, modifying and executing test plans. Experience with API test automation. Experience with test automation tools such Visual Studio framework, C#, PowerShell, Python. Experience working in an Agile or SCRUM team environment. Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $186,700.00 This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
