Our renowned customers’ systems and products are always improving and adapting to technology, leaving our teams with many interesting challenges and projects to tackle. As a Test Engineering Front-end Software Developer, your expertise in software engineering will be used to develop complex solutions for one of our Big-League customers located in the Bay Area. We will encourage you to innovate and voice your ideas regularly. We are looking for someone that is passionate about working in the high-tech industry. Your day-to-day contribution in this role: As part of the team, you will be responsible for the front-end development for a high-priority new project for our client. Work independently to solve complex and often unfamiliar problems and know when to reach out to your team for help. Collaborate with highly skilled engineers to develop backend software that will be utilized at sites worldwide to aid in streamlining and optimizing automated manufacturing tests. Utilize your strong ownership of responsibilities, time management, and results-driven nature to achieve objectives in multidisciplinary and international teams. Perform code reviews and propose solutions to anticipate and resolve problems.QualificationsThe ideal candidate:MandatoryDegree in software development or engineeringProficient with Angular/Typescript, Java, and SQLMinimum of 3 years of experience in software developmentFamiliarity with software engineering principles and development best practicesExperience collaborating on large, distributed software projectsExcellent communication skillsFluent in English (written and spoken), French is an assetFlexibility to attend multiple weekly sync meetings during evening hoursAssetsExperience working with a test & measurement framework in a manufacturing or industrial automation environmentConfidence to work independently AND seek help when neededKnowledge of networking protocols and concepts in LinuxStrong analytical and debugging skills.Additional InformationWhat's in it for YOUFlexible work hours and remote working model #LI-Remote Competitive benefits package An additional day off for your birthday Flex days paid between Christmas and New year's Averna is committed to employment equity and to encouraging diversity and inclusion.
