Averhealth is looking for a dedicated Specimen Accessioner I to service our state-of-the-art Laboratory in St. Louis, MO. This position is Part-Time working 20 hours per week with opportunity for additional hours. DAY SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares specimen (urine) for analysis by generating and pulling LCMS picklists as they populate into the Rescreens & Confirmation Queue for LCMS acccessioning

• Disposes of samples after the analysis is complete

• Maintains cleanliness of accessioning work areas

• Ability to perform routine tasks with no errors

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

• Ability to manage time effectively

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Ability to pass a color blind test, accommodations made if not

• Skill in the use of computers, especially applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Previous experience accessioning samples preferred

• Previous experience in a lab setting preferred

• Experience in a position requiring completion of a routine task is highly desirable
