Avera is Hiring an Ultrasound Technician Near Center, IA

Position Highlights:

  • Flexible schedule 30-40 hours per week.
  • Perform 6-8 scans/day.
  • Variety of scans OB, Abdominal, Breast, Venous legs
  • Day shift Monday-Friday
  • No Holidays

Job Summary

  • The Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered.
  • Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting images.
  • Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduation of formal ultrasound training program or equivalent approved by ARDMS; six months to one-year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • One to two years of additional ultrasound experience/training preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credentialed or board eligible for RDMS credential after passing ARDMS physics boards.
