Job Summary

• Provides professional nursing care for patients.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree.
• Basic Life Support required within six months of employment.
• Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
• Additional requirements to be obtained within six months of employment per department are as follows:
  • Med/Surg – Advanced Life Support
  • Special Care Unit – Advanced Life Support
  • Emergency Room – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, TNCC
  • Resource Nurse – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, plus 1-2 years M/S nursing experience.
• Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of Iowa, or Multi-state licensure required.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts with every third weekend and every other holiday rotations.
• 72 hours every 2 weeks.
• May be required to rotate day and night shifts.
• Weekend Package
  • Part Time: a minimum of 17 weekends per six month schedule.
  • Full Time: a minimum of 23 weekends per six month schedule.
  • Required to work a holiday that falls on scheduled weekend rotation only.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $31.00 - $46.50 per hour
