Job Summary
- Provides medical services and health education to patients under the supervision of the physician sponsor with regards to the age-specific populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
- Effectively contributes to the health education of individuals and groups and applies appropriate methods designed to increase each person’s motivation to assume responsibility for their own health care.
- Meets regularly with the physician sponsor for consultation, supervision and collaboration.
- Assesses, diagnoses and treats patients in the hospital according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current SD license to match degree.
- Federal and State DEA certification required.
- ACLS, CPR preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 48 hours every 2 weeks
- 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Every 3rd weekend (7:00 am - 1:00 pm on weekends)
- Every 3rd holiday
