Job Summary

• This position will assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic programming for the behavioral health inpatient units.
• The position will assist with the psychiatric and medical needs of all patients admitted to BHS.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, criminal justice, education, behavior analysis, health or social sciences, counseling, alcohol studies, liberal arts, or any other human services and/or medical field is required.
• Graduate degree in a Human Services field preferred
• Two years related experience is preferred
  • Preferred candidates will have clinical experience, facilitating group therapy sessions and knowledge and skills in crisis management.
  • Preferred candidates will also have experience working with clients having dual diagnosis disorders (substance use disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions)

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

• South Dakota Professional License (Social Work, Nursing, Counseling or Psychology) preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, varied shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
• Every third weekend, every other holiday, every other call involvement

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

• $21.25 - $32.50 per hour
