Avera is seeking an Surgery Scheduler!

Job Summary

Performs diverse secretarial duties as they relate to the surgical department. The surgery scheduler is responsible for the computer transactions required for scheduling and maintaining and disseminating an accurate surgery schedule, acquisition, retention, and organization of documentation, and will provide clerical services for the department as indicated. The surgery scheduler performs reception duties for all medical personnel and visitors.

Education and/or Experience

• Required to possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year of medical secretary school preferred.
• Two or more years of secretarial experience in a similar work environment preferred.
• Medical terminology is required.

Work Schedule

• Varied shifts; 80hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $19.25 - $24.25 per hour
