You must currently be employed with Avera Mckennan at our Main Campus, Avera Specialty Hospital, Family Health Center Dawley Farm locations to be eligible for this position.

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus w/ 3-year commitment
Position Highlights:
- Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
- May be eligible for a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus with a 3-year commitment
Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

- Key Operator overseeing laboratory instruments
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or Bachelor's Degree & one to two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT within one year of hire date
Work Schedule
- Every third weekend and holiday involvement
- 72 hours per 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
