Summary of Responsibilities

The proposal graphic designer supports the creative process for Avenue5 new business efforts by executing the creation of written and presentation deliverables for RFPs. This role is primarily responsible for owning all in-house production work, ensuring that final proposals look professional and polished, and will assist our creative lead on brand development and design. The proposal graphic designer is tasked with creating various types of design-work, managing, and supporting the creative services inbox by coordinating items to and from internal associates, ensuring the most accurate information is displayed on the creative and proofing for accuracy and will manage the graphics library. 

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

· Design, develop, format, and update creative items for written proposal packages and presentation graphics utilizing the approved Avenue5 brand

· Format content utilizing approved slide templates, and supporting any new slide needs based on brand standards

· Update materials to ensure design library is up-to-date and innovative

· Manage creative service requests from conception through completion.

· Manage the creative services inbox by replying to internal associates on project status, as well as coordinating the delivery of designed items.

· Manage, catalog, organize and maintain a growing photo and graphic file library.

· Design PowerPoint presentation decks on a custom basis as well as decks generated from existing master slide templates.

· Design booklets with pagination and linked table of contents for digital and print.

· Resolve artwork issues that arise during production and manage correspondence with print suppliers nationwide.

· Create new logos, as well as redraw and color existing logos as needed.

· Design and redraw vector floor plans and site maps.

· Ensure the quality and consistency of Avenue5’s professional, branded image in all client communications, proposals, and collateral.

Support the communication and coordination of creative materials to internal associates and third-party suppliers.

• Review feedback received from clients and associates to create and revise property-related collateral.

• Coordinate with internal team to ensure that creative products and services meet Avenue5 standards for quality, effectiveness, and timeliness.

· Coordinate new business efforts and corporate marketing creative requests, as well as manage multiple projects on a day-to-day basis.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· One to three years of experience in graphic design, with a portfolio that illustrates a wide range of client and project types including web, digital, email, social design, campaign concepting and production, and print experience.

· One to three years of experience working with MAC and Windows operating systems is required.

· One to three years of experience in an agency, real estate and/or architecture is preferred.

· One to two years of experience in Google Drive, and other Google apps is preferred.

· One to two years of experience in editing and motion graphics proficiency using platforms such as Adobe After Effects, iMovie, and/or Adobe Premier is preferred.

Skills and Requirements

· Ability to take creative direction from and collaborate closely with creative lead.

· Ability to analyze brand guidelines and creative brief information and take actionable steps to execute the vision.

· Intermediate to advance skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

· Passionate about design and willing to learn.

· Work in a collaborative manner with other team members to manage and coordinate projects.

· Must have knowledge of printing specification and guidelines and print production.

· Ability to process creative feedback in a flexible and meaningful manner.

· Intermediate level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

· Ability to own and manage numerous projects at the same time in fast-paced environment, while retaining accuracy and attention to detail.

· A passion for clean, functional, impactful, and contemporary design.

· Flexible and adaptable, with a strong ability to pivot quickly when the need arises.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills to facilitate the timely completion of projects with differing deadlines.

· Exceptional file-organization and archiving skills.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Exceptional conceptual and creative thinking skills, as well as solid knowledge of typography, color theory, design and layout principles with a strong aesthetic sense.

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.

· Positive demeanor, voracious appetite to learn new things and excellent professional judgement.

· Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned.

Scheduling

· Required to maintain a regular schedule which may also require working outside of business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays

· Exposure to environment typically found in an office building
