Although the Essential Functions and Qualifications of this job description apply mostly towards experienced Welders, we are also looking entry level Welders to join our team.

You will operate appropriate equipment to build metal components for many build material-handling industries. Must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment and follow all safety precautions.

The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• 1. Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• 2. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• 3. Set up components for welding according to specifications
• 4. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• 5. Align components using tape measure, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• 7. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• 8. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• 9. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
