ABHC is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital that has been serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We are looking for a flexible, fun, and enthusiastic Director of Clinical Services! We are looking for a DCS who wants to help out in the community and have a better work/life balance. Responsibilities:
Oversees the operations of the Social Services and Activity Therapy department, including assessment, program development/implementation, and discharge planning.
Actively participates in Performance Improvement and Risk Management programs.
Interprets accreditation and regulatory standards and implements processes to ensure compliance.
Develops and implements goals, policies, and protocols.
Provides patient care as outlined in the Social Service staff job description when necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the department.
Plan, coordinate, manage, and implement support packages to help clients deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies.
Interview service users and assess their current condition, needs, strengths, and weaknesses.
Address the case as a unit and set tailored measurable goals.
Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
Offer information and counseling on the best course of action during sessions.
Maintain accurate records and report on clients’ status.
Attend case conferences and provide evidence in court.
Act as a key worker and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams.
Refer clients to community services to help them in their recovery.
Skills:
Proven work experience as a social worker.
Working knowledge of social theories and practices.
Social perceptiveness and empathy.
Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
Resilience along with the ability to assess situations.
Education:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or sociology.
Certification:
LMSW required.
LCSW preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of program and/or service management experience working with clinical multidisciplinary teams.
Five years of social work experience with at least one year of experience working with behavioral health populations in an acute care setting.
Clinical training in evidenced-based treatment modalities.
