Overview:

Avenica is currently evaluating talent for an Property and Accounting Assistant for unclaimed property in the insurance industry. In this role, this person will be responsible for managing unclaimed property (UCP) client information and data, along with processing payment reissuance including data cleanup, preparing due diligence letters, building vendor relationships, handling customer inquiries, ensuring compliance, and entering payment vouchers.

Responsibilities:

• Data cleanup and ongoing data maintenance.
• Assisting with preparation of due diligence letters.
• Developing strong relationships with vendor contacts.
• Responding to inquiries received via phone and email from customers of all levels, in a friendly and respectful way.
• Ensuring due diligence responses and documentation meet compliance requirements.
• Entering payment vouchers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US; Avenica is unable to provide sponsorship at this time
• At least 3 years of work experience in a professional environment: financial services, accounting/accounts payable, nonprofit, or fundraising experience is a plus!
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data processing systems – specifically PeopleSoft AP and Tracker Pro
• Ability to hold strong customer service standards
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail
