About this opportunity :

Analytical Chemist II in OliGrow (or SSOU) is responsible for meeting the analytical testing requirements to execute testing to support in-process analysis and final releasing and support internal development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample, test, and release in process and final products per established procedures with minimal errors.
  • Perform routine analyses using techniques such as KF, RP-HPLC, AEX-HPLC, SEC-HPLC, and LC-MS etc.
  • Responsible for arranging out-source sample testing.
  • Responsible for testing instrument/protocol update and review.
  • Responsible for performing method development experiments.
  • Maintain good documentation of testing and release work.
  • Execute tasks to deliver project results on time.
  • General maintenance of lab analytical related equipment and help troubleshooting of testing issues.
  • Coordinate and support with instrument vendors for annual PM service and schedule service work.
  • Author technical documentation (eg. test instructions, procedures, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of test instructions for internal projects or new chemistry.
  • Keep record of performance measurements for analytical related activities.
  • Adhere to all company environmental, health and safety policies, and laboratory compliance.

Job Knowledge Required:

  • BA/BS with not less than 4 yrs of direct analytical experience in an industry setting, or MS with not less than 2 yrs of direct analytical experience in an industry setting.
  • Operate laboratory instruments.
  • Analytical chemistry knowledge including theory and application of fundamental analytical techniques.
  • Basic Word, Excel, and Powerpoint abilities.
  • 4 or more years of direct experience in nucleoside or oligonucleotide chemistry is preferred.
