Avantor is Hiring a Warehouse Operations Specialist Near Buford, GA

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Sr. Product Technical Services Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.What we're looking for:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in science, math, biology or engineering field); or equivalent experience
Experience:
  • 1-3 years applicable work experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Qualifications:
  • Responsible for analyzing the accuracy of the parts material master data, and for the completeness of corresponding processes and information preparation. This position ensures the master data is of high quality and integrity to properly support parts planning, parts ordering, and new product launches. It also requires reviewing the processes to identify and recommend ways to eliminate inefficiencies and waste. Master Data analyst will work with vendors/suppliers, Product managers, business development teams, warehouses, and other internal departments regarding product information and pricing. This position focuses on the research and auditing of product and supplier data within Therapak systems, requiring modifications to and communication of results to other functional teams within the organization
  • Solve technical and complex problems on multiple open parts orders, and provide consultative support to internal staff for alternative fulfillment options
  • Conduct detailed kit comparisons linking materials supersessions correctly
  • Ensures technical specifications of all domestically-sourced items, materials and accessories are properly documented by assigning all relevant part numbers; and establishes and maintains complete and accurate records of relevant technical specifications.
  • Verifies the accuracy of kit/material numbers in all technical, service and sales literature by reviewing all such publications.
  • Schedule and implement kit/material change notices while minimizing obsolescence; maintain records of any changes to the system.
  • Ensure vendor information is correctly linked to material information record to minimize waste
  • Upload new kit/material numbers and ensure product is orderable for client network
  • Organize, set-up, and maintain product hierarchy structure essential to parts target sales efforts
  • Regularly audit the processes of various data-set owners as well the database itself to confirm completeness and accuracy to allow for the uninterrupted sale of kit/materials to clients.
  • Determine which items are permissible for sale in North America and Europe based on the latest regulatory standards; and ensure certifications and approvals are met prior to procurement
  • Set logic/policy on how items should be referred to specific PDCs, drop-shipping, and other indicators that control conditions as to how parts are shipped or sold.
  • Product maintenance - works with other functional teams on the discontinuation and attributes changes of products, including description changes, warehouse ties, internal coding, etc. to maintain current and accurate information.
  • Product pricing - works with marketing, pricing, sourcing, and purchasing teams to maintain accurate supplier pricing in the system.
  • Regularly audits, researches, analyzes, makes modifications, and communicates about the above tasks.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationship with other functional teams and has regular interactions regarding product and supplier issues.
  • Maintains accurate tracking of open and closed requests to ensure smooth workflow and accurate reporting.
  • Preform regular quality audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
