IT Systems Engineer

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

Job Summary

The IT Systems Engineer plays a key engineering role in the Avamere Technology Group. The Systems Engineer is responsible for all infrastructure within our facilities, our Azure data center, and various SaaS applications.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Involve in implementing and testing new security features, planning computer and network upgrades, troubleshooting, and responding to security incidents.
• Proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and security.
• Researching new attach vectors and developing threat models.
• System and infrastructure security monitoring and patching
• Infrastructure security (System, Networking, Hardware)(Cybersecurity)
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with the team to implement those fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Configuring tools – Anti-Virus, Patching & Vulnerability management software.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Work with systems, networking, and assets teams to uncover vulnerabilities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of direct work experience in a System Administration / Infrastructure /data center environment, including all aspects of process development and execution responsibility.
• Proficient in ITIL/ITSM.
• Experience in a regulated environment (ours is healthcare and HIPAA).
• Experience in Audits and Compliance
• Experience in Cyber-Security
• Experience in System Automation
• Demonstrated experience in Systems and Network management.
• Strong experience with automation software
• Strong scripting skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing and Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Cyber-Security techniques and management of security-related providers.
• Strong technical knowledge of server and network infrastructure operations and maintenance.
