Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAC)

Setting: Skilled nursing/short-term rehab only

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Day & Evening available

Wage: Starting at $20/hour and increase depending on experience

Location: Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound - 630 S Pearl St, Tacoma WA 98465

People come to our 5-Star rated, air-conditioned facility for first-class healing amongst beautiful surroundings – both in and outside the building. Their services include: skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care.

This 60-bed, all private rooms, skilled nursing community features a gym surrounded by glass for an open feel. Our staff enjoy the small staff:patient ratios, which allows them to focus and provide the upmost compassionate care. Work with seniors in a resort-like setting at Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes
  • Review patient care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily care routine have been made on the care plan
  • Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident’s care plan
  • Assist resident’s with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments
  • Ensure residents’ rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator

Qualifications:

  • Have a 10th grade education or above
  • Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in this state
