Caregiver

Shift Type : Full Time

Pay : $17.51-$22.85 / hr DOE

Location : Avamere at Newberg - 730 Foothills Dr. Newberg, OR 97132

Perfect Attendance Bonus Eligible! This means each pay period that you achieve perfect attendance, full time employees will receive a bonus of $100, and part-time employees will receive $75! Details of this bonus program will be discussed upon hire.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for each resident with routine daily health services.

Our residents are unique, as are their health needs and preferences. We offer personalized care just for their needs at Avamere at Newberg.

We keep our residents mind and body active during many engaging activities, including exercise classes, art activities, outings, and more.

Our residents have a voice as part of our Resident Council, influencing the amenities and activities for all to enjoy.

Responsibilities

Care for residents and assist in updating each residents service plan

Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating

Assist with the Life Enrichment Program and encourage residents to participate in activities

Assist in providing a safe environment for residents

Document and communicate resident changes and complete all reports in a timely manner

Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

High-School diploma or equivalent

Must have or obtain (within 30-days of employment) First Aid & CPR Certification

Must have or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment

Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with elders
