Job Summary:

Avalon Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our growing team. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide support and assistance to patients during their therapy sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the healthcare field and looking to gain hands-on experience in a hospital or acute care setting.

Duties:

- Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas for patient sessions
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment and supplies
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Observe and monitor patients during therapy sessions
- Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities as directed by the physical therapist
- Provide basic patient care, including assisting with transfers and ambulation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas

Skills:

- Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to provide comfort and support to patients
- Exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for patients
- Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals
- Understanding of physiology to assist in explaining exercises and therapeutic activities to patients

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
