Job Description: Dietary Aide
Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents
* Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with established policies and procedures
* Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
* Assist in the receiving, storage, and inventory of food and supplies
* Assist in the preparation of special diets as directed by the dietary manager
* Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas for meals and special events
* Assist in the training of new dietary staff members
* Perform other duties as assigned by the dietary manager
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
* Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
