 I.T. SPECIALIST I POSITION SUMMARY

The I.T. Specialist I position is responsible for the I.T. functions of the bank. Working with minimal supervision, this position will handle system maintenance for all branches and divisions of the bank along with daily trouble shooting and system upgrades to ensure the bank is keeping with industry and compliance standards. 

Requirements

 I.T. SPECIALIST I PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Update and install bank hardware and software; set up equipment for new users and employees
  2. Provides PC and software support and maintenance; assist employees with PC hardware and software issues; effectively handle support calls in a proficient and professional manner
  3. Troubleshoots and repairs (or facilitates repairs) of bank electronics (i.e. fax, telephone, printers, etc.); coordinate support calls with 3rd party vendors and bank personnel
  4. Assist in maintaining bank systems and servers
  5. Remains current on technology and equipment; makes hardware/software recommendations 
  6. Participates in the development of new products and services
  7. Research and continually improve the I.T. structure of the bank

I.T. SPECIALIST I ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or an equivalent of combined education and relevant work experience

Experience

  • Two years of experience with installing hardware and software, troubleshooting PCs, providing support

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to function well in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Travel to/from and work in multiple locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
