Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support their families during this challenging time. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs - Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician - Monitor patients' condition and provide ongoing symptom management - Educate patients and families on disease progression, pain management, and end-of-life care options - Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families - Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains - Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks) - Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care - Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable - Proficiency in ambulatory surgery center protocols and diagnostic evaluation techniques - Knowledge of aseptic technique for wound care and catheterization procedures - Basic life support (BLS) certification required; advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred - Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical record systems - Understanding of behavioral health principles and ability to provide psychosocial support to patients and families - Experience in acute pain management techniques and medication administration - Ability to dialyze patients if needed We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
