AVA Dental is Hiring a Certified Dental Assistant Near Westfield, IN

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in Open Dental software, as well as experience in vital signs monitoring, CAD, medical imaging, aseptic technique, medical records management, dental receptionist duties, infection control, and pediatrics.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Take and record patients' vital signs

- Perform CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tasks as needed

- Capture and process medical images

- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures

- Manage and update patient medical records

- Assist with dental receptionist duties as required

- Ensure proper infection control protocols are followed

- Provide support and comfort to pediatric patients

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program required

- X-ray certification required

- Proficiency in Open Dental or equivalent PMS

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
