Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate with guests about their wait status
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about the restaurant
- Assist with cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and guest relations
