Essential Functions

• Function as a team, assisting coworkers as the need arises.
• Participate in a Resident centered, team environment.
• Communicate with Life Enrichment Director to develop activities that are suitable and enjoyable to the residents.
• Timely preparation for activities including setting up for specific event, inviting all residents to attend, and ensuring all activities meet safety guidelines.
• Assist with dining services including escorting residents to meals, responding to requests, serving meals, and preparing drinks and silverware as needed.
• Monitor food intake, functional status, psychosocial
  status, taking action as required to promote resident well-being.
• Report resident status change including mental, emotional or physical changes, immediately to the charge nurse/DON.
• Act immediately on any resident crisis, following protocol and basic first
  aid training.
• Complete Incident Reports for Falls as per company protocol.
• Assist resident with dining services by taking orders for room deliveries or assisting residents to dining room and being part of dining room service team.
• Use equipment and supplies effectively, safely, and efficiently per the care plan.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance as per facility policy dress code.
• Maintain resident and facility confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in on-going in-service education and staff meetings as directed by Director of Nursing
• Communicate with the Life Enrichment Director on a regular basis regarding employee availability (non-emergency PTO must be scheduled two weeks in advance to ensure appropriate staffing level are maintained for the residents);
• Represent Autumn Care Management, in a positive way, promoting good public relations with families, friends, and the community.
• All other assignments and responsibilities as outlined by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in the areas of Life Enrichment Activities for Seniors
• Understand Autumn Care Policy and Procedures and Employee Manual.
• Ability to work as a team and supervise Residents under their supervision.
